Protein packed chilli

MAKE IT.

  • Ingredients needed

    500g 5% mince beef

    1 x tinned tomato

    1 x tin green lentils

    1 x tin Kidney beans

    1 pepper

    1 onion

    2 cloves of garlic

    1 courgette

    1 tbsp tomato purée

    1 tbsp chilli powder

    500ml veggie stock

  • The process

    Turn the slow cooker to high and add the tomatoes, green lentils, kidney beans, chilli powder (to taste) courgette, pepper, tomato puree and stock.

    In a pan fry the onion, garlic & mince until it has browned and add this to the slow cooker.

    Allow to cook for minimum of 3 hours

    Serve with rice, wraps or Sweet potato

  • ADDITIONAL INFO

    Experiment with whatever veg you want to add to the chilli.

    This can be made without meat and add extra beans.

    Try adding cheese on top.
